A walk through Clifford Park to visit several vernal pools — and the frogs, salamanders, and other wildlife they support.

Join us for an exploration of several vernal pools — both natural and man-made — within Clifford Park in Biddeford, ME.

Many biologists view vernal pools as the "grocery store" of the forest, and these pools provide critical habitat for a variety of species, some of which are threatened/endangered in the region.

This walk will be a great chance to see some of the wildlife activity and learn about the characteristics, roles, and importance of vernal pools during the spring spawning season.
