The Xerces Society is hosting a field day at Crystal Spring Farm to showcase the many benefits of on-farm habitat and to demonstrate how to create more resilient farms. Xerces’ local team has been conducting research on a recently planted meadow at this farm that will be blooming and buzzing mid-July!
The event features presentations from Seth Kroek of Crystal Spring Farm; Emily Baisden, Wild Seed Project; Catherine Coverdale, The Xerces Society and Phil Fanning, UMaine Cooperative Extension. The afternoon session on integrated pest management counts towards continuing education credits.
Lunch is provided. Please register to attend! (note: for those not affiliated with a farm or other organization, enter “independent” on the registration form.)
